Billing and Services

Autastic Avenues is “private pay,” meaning all our services must be paid for by parents/guardians. We do not accept 3rd party reimbursement, with exception of the recreational scholarship offered by the Autism Society of Central Virginia. We do not directly bill insurance companies. We can provide service codes on our receipts if needed.  We provide a receipt/invoice for our social group weekly. Due to the intensive time and cost related to information gathering, any extraneous bookkeeping, such as year-end itemization, can be requested as an additional service.

Attendance

Unlike many social skills groups that use a pre-arranged curriculum, we base our lessons, group activities, and goals for each session on the children who are in the group at that particular time. The only way we can plan appropriately for each session is to know ahead of time who, and how many children, will be in the group. We do not require a contractual time commitment for our social groups.  However, to ensure that we have the appropriate staff on hand, we require a 48 hour absent notice. We do understand that illnesses and emergencies happen, but please keep us informed as timely as possible.
